Alanna Markle is Open Ownership’s Senior Manager for Policy and Research. She leads the organisation's policy and research work focusing on effective implementation. This includes managing the ongoing development of the OO Principles, and setting the strategic direction for research focused on building the global evidence base for policy reform that leads to impact.
Alanna has a long-standing interest in corporate influence on politics and society, and more than 10 years' experience working in applied research for international development, policy analysis and strategic foresight. Prior to joining Open Ownership, she was an analyst based in the Office of the Secretary-General at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
Alanna is a former Fulbright Fellow and holds an MA in Global Economic Affairs from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. She grew up in the Appalachian Region of the US and is currently based in the UK.
