In-person side-event at IACC

The End Snow-Washing Coalition and Open Ownership invite you to an evening of learning, networking, and refreshment. We are inviting people like you who work on, or might be interested in, beneficial ownership (BO) policy to exchange ideas, strategies and lessons learned over some food and drinks. You’ll hear from advocates who will reflect on progress in their own country, and have the chance to talk to others about what worked for you (or didn’t) to successfully drive BO reforms. The event is in-person only.

This side-event to the IACC will also be the launch of our new collaborative project “Amplify”, supported by the BHP Foundation. This project aims to leverage and amplify Canada’s progress on beneficial ownership transparency (BOT), and share internationally the insights from their successful advocacy campaigns. The Canada campaign has already secured major wins, including two new BO registers legislated for and implemented in British Columbia and Quebec, and a new federal law providing for a publicly-accessible BO register.

We look forward to seeing you on the summer solstice, 20 June!
