Event: beneficial ownership data and public procurement in Kenya

Open Ownership and the Business Registration Service will be hosting a two-day hybrid workshop on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th June 2022 to discuss the current state of beneficial ownership data and its connections to public procurement in Kenya.

This workshop will introduce participants to the concepts of beneficial ownership, set out the importance of collecting high-quality data on the ownership or control of companies, explore recent changes to relevant legislation in Kenya and establish how beneficial ownership information can be used in public procurement processes.

Technical, legal and advocacy experts from Kenya and across Africa will share their experience and update participants on the outcomes of Open Ownership's nine-month project working on these topics in Kenya. This will be a hybrid event.
