Event: Launch of the new version of the Beneficial Ownership Data Standard (BODS)
An open solution for interoperability: The launch of version 0.4
Open Ownership recently launched the new version of the Beneficial Ownership Data Standard (BODS). In this recording of the launch event, hear from the team who built it, and invited guests who use it.
BODS is an open standard which helps anyone generate adequate, accurate and up-to-date data about who owns, controls or benefits from companies and other corporate vehicles.
New in version 0.4
Based on years of learning and technical work, version 0.4 introduces new features to capture high-quality data on how beneficial ownership relationships change over time, how to represent declarations and how to separate core data from metadata within statements.
Interoperability means more effective data use, and more transnational crime-fighting
Meet the team behind BODS, including OO staff and our partners at Open Data Services for live demonstrations. And, hear from Senator Percy E. Downe from the Government of Canada, Zenobia Barry of the Financial Intelligence Centre of the Government of the Republic of Namibia, the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation, Foster Moore and NRD Companies talk about why interoperability and standardised data is so important, and what BODS means to them.
