To demonstrate how the Beneficial Ownership Data Standard can be used to structure data on corporate ownership even if it does not contain personal information about beneficial owners, Open Ownership has mapped the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation’s open data to BODS and republishes it on a regular basis
Aims of project
Offer a large, global dataset about corporate ownership in BODS.
- Showcase how BODS can be used for legal or corporate ownership data, not just beneficial ownership (BO) data.
- Increase the OO and Open Data Services team learning by examining a high-quality, global, openly licensed corporate ownership dataset.
